The Mac School Back Up/Restore module is able to backup and restore Mac School data files that are greater than 800K onto diskettes.
As your student data is critical to your school, you should make daily backup copies of your files and a weekly archival copy. Mac School Back Up/Restore is convenient in that it backs up the currently selected data folder and always backs up both the current year's as well as next
year’s data.
Other Methods of Backing Up
• other 3rd party Backup programs - many available on the market today that are much quicker to use than Mac School Backup.
• Tape Backup - tape backups can be used to back up the entire disk or individual files. We do not recommend that you use the individual file backup facilities because if you ever Restore incomplete or mismatched data files you could
‘trash’ all your data.
If you plan to use a tape backup system plan to backup your entire hard disk. This ensures that you have an exact copy of all your files as well as all your programs.
